Character Pattern Filter Added
A new syllable pattern filter has been added to the search interface:
This new filter allows users to find domain names with specific character arrangements, such as consonant-vowel (CV), consonant-vowel-vowel (CVV), or consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel (CVCV).
The selectable syllable characters are currently Consonant (C) for the characters (b,c,d,f,g,h,…,x,z) and vowel (V) for the characters Vowel (a,e,i,o,u,y).
A new bulk keyword search has been added to the main search interface:
You can now search up to 50 search terms at once. Simply enter any keywords or domain names into the "Bulk Search" input box, one per line:
The results will include all domain names that match any of the entered search terms, with respect to any other selected filters.

"Buy It Now" Price History for Aftermarket Domains
"Buy It Now" price histories are now tracked for aftermarket domain names. Price change events and aftermarket listings/delistings are displayed in a large chart on domain detail pages (for instance, 10.org):
Additionally, smaller price history charts are displayed on the primary search results page to give domain buyers an overview of each domain's historical price changes:
Domain price histories are currently only available for domains listed on Afternic, dating back to October 2024. However, DomDB will soon track price histories for unregistered, premium domains, as well as a multitude of other domain aftermarkets.

DomDB now includes Afternic's entire domain inventory (over 18 million new domains). All Afternic listings on DomDB are updated and synchronized on a daily basis.
Work is currently underway to add Sedo's inventory, so stay tuned.
The wee.domains website has been rebranded to DomDB! This name change better suits the upcoming developments to include aftermarket domain listings.
The plan is to aggregate as many aftermarket domain listings as possible into a single searchable database. This will enable users to shop for domains by text, domain length, price, and many other metrics for all domain names that are available for purchase.
New "Label Length" Filter Added
Domains on the mainlist can now be filtered by label character count:
New "Label is Word" Filter and English Words Added
Domains on the mainlist can now be filtered by labels that are a word in a particular language:
Additionally, the most popular 25,000 english words are currently being added to DomDB database for the 200 most popular domain extensions. This means DomDB will now track over 5 million additional domains whose labels are a single english word.
Full availability status coverage of these new domains should be finished in about 1 week. You can view the domains that have been checked for availability on the English Words page.
The Godaddy domains/available API is very inaccurate and inconsistent for many premium domains.
For example, the domain pro.info is often returned as unavailable (it's actually available and costs about $3k USD depending on registrar).
Godaddy customer support seems aware of this issue and... that's just how it is.
Yet their own domain availability search page is mostly accurate:
Domain Acquisition Syndrome
Domain Length Filter Added
Domains on the mainlist can now be filtered by the total number of characters they contain (label and extension combined).
For instance, the domain mmu.click is considered to contain 8 total characters, and the domain 🦄.to is considered to contain 3 total characters. Please keep in mind that dots are not counted.
Use the new slider in the sidebar to select minimum/maximum character count range to find domains with the length you're interested in.
The website interface can now be changed to "dark mode": a primarily black visual theme that is far less bright. This setting can be enabled via the toggle in the upper-right hand corner of any page on the website.
The UI theme setting will persist across visits if your browser has cookies enabled.
I'm pleased to announce that development of DomDB has a renewed focus.
In the last few months, the following new features and improvements have been added to the website:
- Improved data: pricing and availability data has been updated to be more accurate.
- Mainlist search: you can now find domain names by matching characters at the beginning of the domain, at the end, exact matching, and contains any matching characters:

- Mainlist performance: searching and filtering domains is now up to 30x faster.
- New Extensions page: you can now easily browse available domain names by via a big list of all domain extensions/TLDs.
- The DomDB x.com/twitter account has finally been unsuspended after four years. Note to self: never sign up for a twitter account with browser fingerprinting protection enabled.
- Bug fixes:
- Newsletter signup fixed
- Mainlist » Copy Domains button fixed
There are many new features currently in the works as well: dark/light UI mode, new domain ranking metrics, content translations, and a bulk domain availability checker. Thank you for your patience and please stay tuned.
